Urgent Hot Forging Die Delivered Efficiently to Ensure Customer Production Progress
Late last week, an automotive die forging customer with three years of cooperation encountered a sudden production failure: a set of hot forging dies on its main production line suffered cavity cracking, forcing the entire production line to shut down waiting for replacement. With tight delivery schedules for downstream OEM orders, delayed delivery would cause high production shutdown losses and default costs. The customer urgently put forward a demand for urgent supplementary manufacturing.
After receiving the demand, the production scheduler completed the production planning overnight. From open-die blanking of die steel, rough machining to heat treatment and die cavity finishing, all processes gave priority to this order. All parallelable processes were promoted simultaneously to minimize the delivery cycle to the greatest extent.

The responsible team worked in continuous shifts, with day shifts connecting with night shifts for uninterrupted production. In the open-die blanking process, forging masters stayed by the furnace throughout the process to strictly control the temperature. Die steel is highly sensitive to heating temperature, and temperature deviation will directly affect the internal structure and properties. Each upsetting and drawing process is carried out strictly at the specified temperature node. In the rough milling of the die cavity, machining personnel follow up the machine tool processing progress throughout the process to strictly control machining accuracy. In the heat treatment link, operators regularly inspect and adjust the temperature and test the hardness to ensure all performance indicators meet the standards.
After two days and two nights of continuous operation, the whole set of hot forging dies was completed half a day ahead of the agreed delivery time. Through item-by-item inspection, indicators such as dimension, hardness and die cavity smoothness all meet the acceptance requirements of high-grade products. When the products were loaded and shipped, the customer contact expressed thanks repeatedly, saying that this urgent delivery effectively avoided the loss of long-time production line shutdown.

Watching the truck drive out of the factory, the masters with red eyes from staying up showed relieved smiles. The core value of hot forging die manufacturing is to escort the stable operation of customers' production. When customers have urgent demands, we respond with full efforts. Only by keeping the delivery schedule can we maintain the trust of customers.

Hot Forging Die Repair Service Officially Launched to Help Customers Reduce Costs and Increase Effic
July 2, 2026In our cooperation with many die forging factories, we have found that there is a common pain point in the industry: after long-term use, hot forging dies are prone to problems such as die cavity wear and corner chipping, but the main structure of the die remains intact. Direct scrapping causes avoidable waste, and the procurement cost of large hot forging dies is relatively high, so overall replacement will significantly incRead More
