Hot Forging Die Repair Service Officially Launched to Help Customers Reduce Costs and Increase Effic
In our cooperation with many die forging factories, we have found that there is a common pain point in the industry: after long-term use, hot forging dies are prone to problems such as die cavity wear and corner chipping, but the main structure of the die remains intact. Direct scrapping causes avoidable waste, and the procurement cost of large hot forging dies is relatively high, so overall replacement will significantly increase production investment.

In response to this industry pain point, we have officially launched the hot forging die repair service recently. As long as the die matrix has no cracks and the structure has no deformation, even if the cavity is severely worn and the corners are chipped, it can be reused through processes such as repair welding, profile repair and heat treatment refurbishment. The cost of repairing a set of dies is about one-third of that of newly manufactured dies, and the normal service life can reach more than 80% of that of new dies, with a high input-output ratio.
After the service was launched, a cooperative customer sent more than 20 sets of old dies in stock. The batch of dies had been idle for nearly half a year and was originally planned to be treated as waste. Our technical team carries out testing and evaluation set by set, issues a detailed list and quotation for repairable dies, and starts the full-process repair after customer confirmation. The fitter, welder and heat treatment teams set up a special working group to complete wear surface cleaning, groove preparation, layered repair welding with special die welding materials, post-weld stress relief treatment, machining profile repair, heat treatment hardness improvement, manual polishing of die cavity and other processes in sequence. The appearance and performance of the repaired dies can be close to the level of new dies.
After the delivery of the first batch of repaired hot forging dies, the customer verified through half a month of actual production and feedback that the use effect of the dies has no obvious difference from new dies. The production output and forging quality are not affected, which effectively saves the procurement cost of new dies.

For us, the value of this business is not only to expand the service boundary, but also to effectively solve the actual problems of customers. Helping customers control production costs can promote the development of cooperative relations in a longer and more stable way.
